Every GTCC student applying for eDegree Priority Registration status MUST complete the two-week readiness workshop. This is a mandatory requirement. The workshop is free for all priority registration candidates and is completed fully online in Moodle. The readiness workshop is completely separate from the Online Success Seminar.
Workshop sessions are scheduled throughout the calendar year. This means that candidate participation in a workshop COULD coincide with the regularly scheduled academic semester schedule.
All eDegree candidate priority registration applications are verified and processed as they are received. Workshop seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates are invited by GTCC Email.
NOTE: Students DO NOT need the workshop to register for GTCC online classes.
Workshop Topics include but are not limited to:
Personal Success Strategies
Study Skills Strategies
Online Learning Community Netiquette
GTCC Specific Online Student Resources
All candidates who successfully complete the workshop with a 90% or better will receive eDegree Priority Registration status. They will also have access to eDegree specific campus resources.
